Breast Cancer Symptoms
Health-conscious women all over the world are naturally going to be surprised to know that one out of 10 women suffers from breast cancer in the US. Well, you think, you did not know that it was so common. Unfortunately, it is true. Fortunately, it can be cured, if caught in the early stages, like other cancers.
Some of the well-known people suffering from this horrible disease include Olivia Newton John, Shirley Temple Black, and Kylie Minogue. In the former 2 cases, the cancerous lump was detected and they underwent mastectomy as part of the treatment. But that was because they allowed the possible breast cancer symptom of a lump to be disregarded and did not go in to consult with their doctor for immediate treatment. Kylie Minogue is still undergoing treatment, because she recognized the symptoms and got it diagnosed.
Your best way of battling breast cancer is to prevent it. That is of course by looking at the risk factors, which might cause cancer. For example, you have a close family member like a sister or a mother suffering from breast cancer. You need to go to a doctor regularly to make sure that your chances of contracting the disease is minimized at the very beginning. That also means that you are going to be on the lookout for possible breast cancer symptoms.
Some women have also inherited 2 genes known as BRCA1 and BRCA2. These women are more susceptible to breast cancer. They need to get the treatment done in the initial stages itself, so they have to be on the lookout for symptoms of this cancer.
So, naturally, you are on the lookout for all the possible breast cancer symptoms, which might forecast the prospective onset of this dread disease. These symptoms include an unexplained lump, which may be hard or tender, in the breast. You may possibly also find this lump underneath your armpit. You also need to look for other cancer symptoms like the skin getting red and itchy. You may find one breast swelling abnormally. That is because the cancerous cells in the body are absorbing all the blood supplied to the breast region.
Some of these cancer symptoms are definitely not painful in the initial stages. Nevertheless, there are some cells, which are growing in an unusual manner and are showing up in symptoms form. This sort of growth, whether benign or malign, needs to be checked up by your physician as soon as possible.
Cancer tests are normally done in the form of a mammogram, where an x-ray of the breast area is done to see the presence of the cancerous cells and possible metastasis (spread of the disease.) If the cancer is in its initial stages, it is going to be treated with chemotherapy and radiotherapy. So that means you cannot afford to disregard any symptoms which may foresee the onset of cancer. A proper diagnosis and immediate treatment is going to check the metastasis and prevent the cancer from spreading. So, if you see any of these symptoms given above, go in for a thorough checkup right now.

Everyone knows that breast cancer is a big problem for women. Did you know that many men suffer in silence with the disease? This being the case, it is important for men to know the signs of breast cancer. Any time these signs are detected, men should see a doctor. Early detection is just as important for men as it is for women. The earlier the cancer is picked up, the quicker treatment can begin. This increases the odds of surviving.
If men notice a new lump in one breast, a thorough check of both breasts should be done. This is very easy to do. Lie on your back. Raise your right hand over the head. With the pad of two or three fingers of the left hand, thoroughly check the right armpit area for lumps or anything abnormal. Do the same with the breast, making sure you check across to the chest bone and up to the collar bone. Repeat this process with the left hand over the head. You can also do a check while standing up in the shower or while getting dressed. With the pad of two or three fingers move your hand gently over every part of each breast. Check for lumps, knots or thickening. Use right hand for left breast, left hand for right breast. If you feel anything abnormal, get to the doctor as soon as possible. These lumps may not be cancer, but they may be something else that your doctor may want to look into. Never take any lumps lightly. The chances of getting rid of breast cancer are higher when it is diagnosed early.
See a doctor if you find a lump. Only a doctor can check to see if there are any issues with breast cancer. Early screening is important. Even if you do not think the lump is cancer, you should see your doctor.
Finally, a doctor may recommend that you have a mammogram. This is an x-ray of both breasts. It will show any lumps that are present. This can help the doctor to determine the likelihood of it being cancer. If the lump shows up on a mammogram, a biopsy will be taken. Tests will be performed on the tissue that was taken. This is the final determination on whether or not the lump is cancer or not.

Treatments for cancer today are all about money. The people who control the industry, and it’s not your doctor are only looking for ways to manage the disease with their 3 main treatments and profit from it through people with cancer. Today’s toxic treatments are a grand hoax.
The pharmaceutical industry is extremely well funded, has total control over the cancer industry as well as the media due to the massive amounts of advertising dollar spent by “Big Pharma.” Any other treatments that threaten this industry are ruthlessly suppressed.
Many alternative approaches for the treatment of cancer have a much higher success rate than those offered by pharmaceutical companies. The safest and most effective way to deal with cancer is to strengthen the body’s immune system which will allow the body to remove the cancer safely. Cancer is simply a disease of a weak immune system so doesn’t it make sense to strengthen it. There are only natural ways to do that and more importantly, with natural treatments no one can make any money out of them, that’s why they are suppressed.
A patient, when first diagnosed with cancer, will be in shock and will be at the mercy of their health professional regarding treatment options. They will blindly follow authority without stopping and applying a bit of common sense. The more ignorant you are about why you got cancer, the easier it will be for the cancer industry to manipulate you into their system of treatments. Current conventional cancer treatments today represent a multi-billion dollar a year industry and these vast profits are fiercely protected by the industrial giants who control them. Our orthodox treatments today are keeping us submissive and illiterate by suppressing any information on any other way to cure cancer.
Nothing, except money is to be gained by pretending that the battle against cancer is slowly but surely being won when their cure rate now days is a paltry 3 to 4 percent. Also there is nothing in surgery, radiation and chemotherapy that will prevent the spread of cancer.
There is a cure for all cancers and that involves making lifestyle changes, especially to our food intake which will boost the immune system as the most efficient healer the human body has for cancer and many other degenerative diseases is a correctly functioning natural immune system. The human body is a miraculous living being and even as we slowly learn more about it we will never fully understand its inner workings completely because of its complexities. By using natural therapies, they will strengthen the body and allow the body to remove the cancer safely, which it will do?
I realize that not everyone can make changes to the way they live because many of us are creatures of habit to some degree and don’t have the ability to make those changes that are absolutely necessary to boost the immune system and cure cancer. For that reason I support the use of our mainstream treatments for those people but, be aware of the toxicity and the ineffectiveness of those treatments.
We get cancer now days because of the way we live with our diet of processed food, our lack of exercise and the toxic products we surround ourselves with. The common sense way to cure cancer is to remove those known causes which will strengthen the all important immune system and return you to health.
The bottom line is you need to take charge of your cancer; make those necessary changes as no one can do it for you. Appropriate diet and lifestyle changes are your first line of defence.

The prostate gland is part of the male reproductive system. Cancer that grows in the prostate gland is called prostate cancer. It is the second leading cause of cancer deaths among men in the U.S.
Men have traditionally been less likely to seek medical attention than women, especially for minor problems which often serve as warning signs for more serious underlying illness. It’s estimated that approximately 234,460 men in the U.S. will be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year, and approximately 27,350 will die of the disease.
Prostate cancer is the third most common cause of death from cancer in men of all ages and is the most common cause of death from cancer in men over 75 years old.
Some men will experience symptoms that might indicate the presence of prostate cancer. One symptom is a need to urinate frequently, especially at night. If cancer (more…)
Breast Cancer Survival
28/01/10
It should be stressed that breast cancer is not easy to define. By that I mean that there are various types of breast cancer, various stages of the growth of the disease, various methods of treatment and, of course, various outcomes with some women beating the disease, some living with it for different lengths of time and some succumbing to the disease. But to the question can breast cancer be defeated? the answer is most definitely, yes.
Once a diagnosis has shown the presence of breast cancer, there are several factors which must be considered relating directly to the patient’s chances of survival. The first factor is that of the stage of the cancer. A zero rating means the cancer has been caught in its earliest stage, has not spread elsewhere in the body and the patient has an excellent chance of survival. There are other stages reaching the peak at stage 4 which is where the cancer has spread to other organs and places the patient in the most serious danger. Obviously the earlier the detection the more likely it is that a patient will have a low stage reading.
Any cancer diagnosis is difficult to say the least and can be devastating for the woman, her friends and family. But if it is possible to be calm in this crisis, it is important to look at today’s survival statistics. They have improved enormously over the decades. In the USA, breast cancer detected early and found to be stage zero, that is localized within the breast, has the patient receiving an excellent chance of survival in the first five years of around 98%. As treatment techniques and new drugs are discovered and researched, chances of a much longer life expectancy continue to improve. Survival is not just a word these days but far more a reality.
Statistics can at times throw up some unexpected results and one is related to the age of the patient. Strangely a woman younger than forty would appear to have a tougher task of survival than a woman over forty. This is believed to be because a cancer can grow more aggressively in a younger woman.
Survival chances are determined to a large extent by the grade of the cancer cells in the breast cancer tumor. Experts can study cancerous cells under a microscope. If the cells are almost normal in appearance then they are listed as low grade and the cancer is deemed less dangerous. However, if the cancerous cells are markedly different from normal breast tissue cells then this tumor is regarding as serious.
The bottom line, as they say today, is that breast cancer survival rates depend on a number of factors. And as hard as it may be to stay calm once a diagnosis has found a tumor, it is vital that you as the patient, or as the spouse or friend of the patient, get all the facts from your doctor first. It is indeed possible to survive and to even beat the disease.

Cancer is a severe medical condition that could otherwise cause the patient’s body to suffer until it succumbs to the disease. If a person is suffering from cancer, the quest for total cure and recovery is long and tedious. And a lot of people don’t even get near that point.
There are a lot of biochemical drugs that are developed to attack cancer cells. But despite of the fact that these remedies work relatively well, their side effects can’t be ignored at all. Some drugs exhibit immediate side effects while others only develop them in the long run. Chemotherapy is one example of a biological treatment that is very effective. However, the patient would have to endure its side effects.
This is also the reason why a lot of patients are looking for alternative cures for cancer. For one thing, not all patients benefits from chemotherapy. While this (more…)
